MySexySaturday - March 25, 2017 - French Twist

March 25, 2017:
For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday I have seven paragraphs from FRENCH TWIST. A contemporary m/m romance where the main character finally meets His Sexy (Forever) Love.

When the markets collapsed and Sean Hannesay lost everything, including his job as a financial advisor, he considered himself lucky to find work as a delivery boy for The House of Lost Treasures. It’s a job that’ll keep a roof over his head and put food in his stomach while he waits for the economy to improve and he’s able to find something better.
But being a delivery boy in the antique business turns out to be more interesting and exciting than Sean expected. After a couple of months spent fetching and carrying like a character in a Dickens novel, Sean’s next assignment takes him to Paris, France, to take possession of a 17th-century cross pendant. From the moment he arrives, Sean’s involved in one strange adventure after another, until he finally meets up with Raoul Dassin, the man from whom he is to collect the pendant. A man who instantly captures Sean’s attention and refuses to let go.

Sean could have cared less about food, but going through the motions was all part of this particular game. And he knew, despite the way he felt right now, the urgency and strength of his feelings, the way his mind could brush everything else aside, and the overwhelming conviction he had to have Raoul no matter what, a game was all it was—the instant attraction, the discreet flirting, the moment of truth, and then, their needs satisfied, that would be the end of it. A special time, nonetheless, that would take away a little of the hurt inflicted by Bobby and make this first trip to Paris unforgettable. “Sounds good. Medium rare, if I may. And a plain green salad?”
The waiter left and, as Sean heard the click of a deadbolt engaging, a shiver ran through his body. He wasn’t certain if it was fear of the unknown or anticipation of what was about to happen. He never ever got into things with another guy this fast. Anyone with half a brain knew it was best to get to know one another a little up front, take enough time to be sure he wasn’t agreeing to anything too weird or kinky, or any of the heavy stuff he just wasn’t into. Then Raoul was behind him, helping him off with his jacket and stroking his ass in the process.
“Would it be asking too much if I suggest we forget about everything except ourselves while we’re here?” Raoul said softly as he continued to lightly stroke Sean’s butt. “I believe moments like this are given to us for a purpose. They are meant to be savored and enjoyed.”
“You mean like stopping to smell the roses, as we say back home?”
“Exactement! A moment to forget about the harsh realities of life, and perhaps enjoy the more pleasant things it has to offer?”
If Raoul had come right out and suggested they both get naked, his meaning couldn’t have been more clear. With his jacket gone, Sean felt Raoul’s arms encircle his body, pressing him against the impressive arousal Sean had noticed when they were sitting in Raoul’s office. Another shiver ran through his body.
“If I’m making a mistake, tell me now,” Raoul said quietly.

MySexySaturday - March 18, 2017 - Chance Encounter

March 18, 2017:

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday I have seven paragraphs from CHANCE ENCOUNTER. A contemporary m/m romance where an undercover cop gets made and Sexy Saves The Day.

Chance Encounter
Christiane France

In high school and through their first year of college, Jase Thoman and Matt Lester were best friends and lovers. Then Matt’s family moved, Matt transferred to another school, and they soon drifted apart.

Ten years later, they meet again by chance. Jase is a private investigator, desperate to find his kid brother who, in addition to two other teenage boys, disappeared after last being seen at a local gay bar. Matt is an undercover police officer, brought in by the local police department in the hope he can succeed where they’ve far failed.

Matt is the only man Jase has ever really loved, but ten years is a long time. They’re not the same people they once were. When Matt tries to pick up where they left off, Jase takes a step back. His first priority is finding his brother. As far as Matt is concerned, Jase feels how he imagines a deer would feel when caught in the headlights of a vehicle with little or no chance of escape—confused, unsure, and at the same time, positive whatever he does will be the wrong thing.

Forgotten? After all what time? As in I’m supposed to know you from somewhere?

Jase narrowed his eyes and looked the dude over more carefully. The lighting in the club was lousy, but somewhere between the glitter, the cheap glamour and false eyelashes, one of which was rapidly becoming unglued, there was something vaguely familiar about the guy. He searched his memory and came up dry. “Sorry, man, I think you must be mistaking me for someone else.”

The man gave a soft, sexy chuckle, raising hairs on places Jase had always thought were hairless. He flipped through his memory banks for a second time. He still didn’t recognize the face, but he knew he’d heard that chuckle somewhere before. Where or when, he couldn’t remember…but something about it reminded him of his college days and March break—cheap motel rooms, heavy breathing, sweat-soaked sheets, and the overpowering smells of stale beer and sex.

“S’okay, Jase. It’s been one helluva long time,” the guy said quietly. “And I know I have you at a disadvantage in this getup. But you were looking me over pretty good, so I figured I should say something fast in case you recognized me and blew my cover.”

“Sorry, man. Like I said, I think you’re—” Before Jase could finish what he was about to say, he realized the guy had used his name. Then, something clicked in his brain and the memories came flooding back…along with a rush of pure sexual need he hadn’t felt in a very long time. “You’re— Oh, my God, it’s— But it can’t be. You’re—”

Matt Lester in the flesh?

Jase stared at the guy standing beside him in shock. He and Matt Lester had been lovers, best friends, and roommates through the last couple of years of high school and the first year of college. Then Matt’s family had moved to the west coast, and a scholarship had caused Matt to transfer to another school. They’d kept in touch for a while and still exchanged cards at Christmas, but between distance and everyday life, they hadn’t seen one another in years. Jase wanted to ask if Matt was back living here in town, or if he was just passing through. However, before Jase could say his name out loud, Matt had him in the kind of lip-lock Jase couldn’t have broken even on a good day.

MySexySaturday - March 11, 2017 - A Taste Of Honey

March 11, 2017:

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday I have seven paragraphs from A Taste Of Honey. It’s a historical m/m romance, and a spin-off from Time Shift. I wouldn’t describe either of the main characters as a warrior in the accepted sense, even so they have a few battles to fight. That’s if their love is to triumph despite impossible odds and totally diverse lives.

A Taste Of Honey
By Christiane France - Kobo, iTunes and Barnes & Noble

Antoine Auguste, Marquis de Vernnay, is twenty-four and bored. But then he meets Honey at an exclusive men’s club, and Antoine's life is forever changed. Honey is the only person he can think about. Honey, however, is a servant of the lowest class, and also the property of another man. Can Antoine find a way to fulfil his wildest dreams and have Honey all to himself?

Just then, a young boy appeared at his side. “Would you care for something to drink, m’sieu.?”

“No, thank you.” Antoine wasn’t about to compound his foolishness in coming to a place like this alone by accepting drinks from unknown sources. For now, he needed to keep his head clear and his wits about him. If he decided to leave at some point, he could do so without difficulty.

As he looked around the room, unsure whether he should sit down and await events, or strike up a conversation with one of the other men, he felt a hand glide down his back and come to rest on his buttocks.

“You are looking for company, mon ami?”

Antoine turned toward the speaker, a sleepy-eyed young man with his hair pulled back in a simple queue, and informally dressed in tan breeches and a partially opened, loose white top that looked rather like a nightshirt. Antoine guessed the man to be perhaps two or three years his junior. “Company?”

The young man smiled and lifted his slim shoulders in an offhand shrug as he moved his hand to the juncture of Antoine’s thighs. “If you wish, we can sit here and talk. Or, if you prefer, we can go to one of the private rooms and get to know one another better.” He paused, his mobile lips twisting in a faint grimace. “Alternatively, if you prefer, I can introduce you to someone else.”

“No. No one else.”
