MySexySaturday - October 29, 2016 - A Happy Christmas Ending

October 29, 2016:

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday I have seven paragraphs from A HAPPY CHRISTMAS ENDING, a contemporary m/m romance.

Christiane France

The sequel to the best-seller Raindrops And Roses...
When Drew and Michael first met, they spent every minute of their free time together, dreaming, planning and generally behaving like they lived on their own private planet. Now, almost three months later, they’re still together, but only just. Michael’s been gradually distancing himself from Drew and he’s not returning Drew’s calls. They’re supposed to be spending Christmas with Michael’s family, so Drew forces a meeting. If Michael has met someone else, he wants to know, and he wants to know now.
I pressed my face against his chest, feeling his warmth and breathing in his scent. “You have it all worked out, huh?”
“Yup.” He slid a finger under my chin and lifted my head so we were eye to eye. “There is absolutely nothing to worry about, love. Things will work out. I promise.”
Marmalade began pushing himself between our legs, either in search of food or in an attempt to get a little attention for himself. I wasn’t sure which.
“Yes, and you’ll be okay, too, you little pest.” Michael released me and picked up the cat. “This guy won’t give over until I feed him. So, while I do that, maybe you’d like to find us something to drink? There’s beer and cola in the fridge.”
“How about coffee?”
He grinned and blew me a kiss. “I’d love one. That’s if you’ll be kind enough to make it.”

October 21, 2016:

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday I have seven paragraphs from ONE PERFECT NIGHT, a contemporary m/m romance.

Christiane France
Paul knew Nico was special the moment they exchanged that first glance at Termini station in Rome late one hot summer afternoon. Paul was on his way back to London and when it was announced the departure of their train had been cancelled and travel temporarily suspended, they decided to have dinner together while waiting for further information.
Early next morning, when Nico found a flight cancellation and took off, all Paul knew was Nico’s first name.
Two years later, Paul hasn’t forgotten Nico, and when they meet again at another train station in London, the chemistry is still there. Nico believes Fate has brought them back together, and he’s ready to close his eyes and jump into a relationship. But two years is a long time, and Paul thinks they should slow down. There’s more to a relationship than chemistry alone. They need to first check the water, and then take it one step at a time.

...As I put down the crusty roll and reached for the sugar to add to my coffee, I heard someone say my name. I didn’t recognize the voice, and Paul was a common enough name. I looked up anyway—then stared. “Nico?”
My stomach did a weird backflip, and I sucked in a quick gulp of air.
He dropped into the chair across from me, looking as surprised as I was myself.
“I’m imagining this, right?”
“If you are, then so am I.” What started as a smile turned to laughter and he reached across the table and grasped my hand. “My God! It really is you. This is crazy. I just came back from High Wycombe, and I thought I saw you getting off the same train.”
“You’re kidding?” I continued to stare at him, trying to collect my scattered wits and work my way through the shock. The hardest part was convincing myself this was real. That I wasn’t dreaming, hallucinating, or I hadn’t somehow got caught up in a bad case of wishful thinking. “I was on that train, too. In fact, I thought I saw you while I was waiting on the platform in Wycombe station. Then you disappeared, so I figured—”
“You were seeing things?” He smiled and shook his head. “I wondered that myself when I got off the train just now. I had to make sure, so I followed you over here, but then…
“Then what?”
His eyes seemed a little misty and he squeezed my hand, hard. “I waited outside for a few minutes. It looked so much like you. I was sure but I wasn’t sure, if you know what I mean. I didn’t want to make an idiot of myself. It’s been two years since we met at Termini…”
I smiled. “I know.”
“I hated leaving you, Paul. But I swear, I had no choice. I had to grab that flight cancellation. It was the only way I could get to Brussels in time. My brother was getting married and I was his best man. He’d have killed me if I hadn’t shown up.”
“So what made you come in here and check?”
He relaxed his grip on my hand, then tightened it again. “I needed to know. I figured if I made a mistake, so what?”
He hesitated, looking unsure or embarrassed, I didn’t know quite which. Maybe a little of both.
He tried for a smile that didn’t quite happen. “You’ll probably think I’m a wacko or I need to get myself a life. The truth is I’ve never been able to get you out of my mind. Crazy as it might sound, I’ve never stopped hoping that one day this would happen. If I’d known your last name, where you lived or worked, some significant small detail to go on, I’d have found you by now.”
Emotion blocked my throat and I swallowed hard. “If we’d been thinking we’d have exchanged phone numbers or something. We didn’t, but that’s okay. I haven’t forgotten you, either,” I said quietly. I drank in the handsome face, the eyes that were the same dark brown as mine, and the trace of five o’clock shadow that made him look even more handsome than I remembered. I wanted so much to touch his face… “Some people you forget five minutes after you meet them and some you do never do. No matter how hard you try, they’re always there at the edge of your mind...”

MySexySaturday - October 8, 2016 - Simply Irresistible

October 8, 2016:

For this week’s edition of MySexySaturday I have seven paragraphs from SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE, a contemporary m/m romance.

Christiane France

When Cal and Rob first met, they were star-struck, wet-behind-the-ears teenagers who thought all it took to make it in Hollywood was a great body and good looks. Cal eventually gave up the dream and became a reporter for an entertainment magazine, while Rob went on to become a major motion picture star.
Over the next few years, they broke up and got back together a dozen or more times. Then Rob hit a bad patch when Cal caught him with another man and kicked him out. Now, almost two years have passed without a word. Cal has no idea if Rob is even dead or alive, until Rob calls Cal’s boss out of the blue and offers to do an interview—on condition that Cal flies to England where Rob is living so they can talk face-to-face.
In view of their history, Cal knows he’s the best person to interview Rob, and so does his boss. But Cal is still in love with Rob and he knows the trip to London is likely to result in even more heartbreak.

This was the Rob I’d fallen in love with. The guy with the pouty bottom lip and the sexy, luminous dark eyes who I’d never get enough of, even if I lived to be a hundred. The same guy who’d pull any trick he could think up to get his own way. And now he was doing it to me all over again. If the next thing he asked me to do was jump, I’d probably do what I’d always done in the past and ask how high.
I’d known he was up to something, but did he realize the extent of what he’d done? He’d put my job at risk, involved my employer in what had to be considerable expense for which they’d get no return, and all for what? Just to get something he thought he wanted? Did he care about the fallout? Knowing Rob, I doubt he’d given it even a passing thought.
“Okay, you can quit with the act. I’m not going anywhere right now.”
“You mad at me?”
He knelt on the floor beside my chair and laid his head in my lap. I knew I should push him off, move away, do something. Instead, I just smiled. Some things would never change, but that was okay. “I’m foaming at the mouth furious you’d do something this crazy, but not mad.”
He stroked my chest and my belly, sending tiny shivers tripping down my spine and settling in my cock. Then he began to stroke my penis through the fabric of my pants. I knew he wanted me every bit as much as I wanted him. I also knew what we were doing was as predictable as day following night.
