Day 10 is J – A-Z Blog Challenge

J is for Journeys:

I’ve journeyed to a few parts of this world by various means of transport including my own two feet, bicycle, boat, motorcycle, car, bus, plane, train, boat, ship, and in Morocco I even got to ride on a camel—which I do not recommend. In Toulon in the South of France I took the telepherique (an aerial tramway that scared me silly) to a museum in the hills commemorating the allied landings in the South of France at the end of WWII. In the basement of that museum is a “surround sound” movie theater which shows actual film footage of the landings and gives you a firsthand taste of what it was like.

I didn't get to ride a cable car when I was in San Francisco, but I did take the boat over to Alcatraz. And I once got to fly over the Hoover Dam in a helicopter piloted by an army vet who I swear thought he was still flying night missions in enemy territory.

In Simply Irresistible -

Cal undertakes a journey into the past by flying to England to interview ex-lover and former major motion picture star, Robin Fletcher, for a magazine article.

The two originally met as teenagers, then broke up and got back together a dozen or more times—until Cal caught Rob with another man and kicked him out. Two years have passed without a word and Cal has no idea if Rob is dead or alive until his boss announces Rob wants to do an interview with Cal—but only on condition Cal goes to England to do it.

Rob didn’t say why he wanted the face-to-face meeting. All Cal knows is that he’s still in love with Rob and by accepting the condition there’s a chance he’ll get his heart broken yet again.
