Day 14 is N – A-Z Blog Challenge

N is for New

I love new things. New, still in the package, unworn and untouched by anyone else things. It can be a cheap item from the dollar store or something a more pricey. I love the smell of new shoes and new furniture. I also love new innovative ideas, be it for my next book or a fresh approach to an old recipe. And I’m always a sucker for a new craft project. Hand-knitted dishcloths for a lady who works at my hairdresser’s salon, or a crocheted blanket for either a new baby or one of my furkids.

I’ve also had a ton of fun thinking up 26 new blog posts for this challenge. It’s nowhere near as easy as one might think.

N also stands for New Book, a New Series--Hennessey Falls, and Noah Davidson as the owner of a string of eateries and an over-thirties after hour’s club. The first book, The Replacement, will be released by Amber Allure on May 10, 2015 as part of the Second Time Around Pax.

When Noah Davidson loses his partner to kidney failure, he needs to hire someone to help run his restaurant business. After a couple of tryout failures, he interviews Gavin Murray. Gavin has everything it takes to be the perfect general manager. He has the education, the experience, and also the polish and sophistication required in a top executive. The only problem is that Noah finds him sexually attractive in a way that borders on obsession. He wants Gavin but he tells himself that he can’t have him. He’s still mourning Brett and he’s far from ready to move on with his life. If he had any sense he’d turn down Gavin’s application. Instead, he agrees to give Gavin a three-month trial period by convincing himself Gavin is his only option and business comes first.

I hope you’re enjoying this year’s challenge and please don’t forget to check out the other bloggers and their posts which you’ll find by clicking on

  1. New is the best. And new books... Ah well, I can't resist getting a new book, even if my Nook is filled with other books that I haven't read yet.

  2. Definitely agree on love of all things new, especially new books to add to my reading list! Yay!

  3. New books are so much fun! It's like making a new friend. Congratulations!

  4. Thanks, everyone. New books, whether they're by a favorite author, or be it one of your own creations making it into print, are the best fun. Life would be so dull without books.
