April 8 – G is for GET UP AND GO - #atozchallenge
There are those days when my Get Up And Go is definitely AOL. Days when I fiddle from dawn to dusk, accomplish nothing and wonder where the time went.
For me, the antidote to wasting time is lists. If I make a Gotta Do list before I go to bed I stand at least a fighting chance of accomplishing something on those days when my Get Up And Go is not writing up a storm, shopping ‘til I drop, or finding a more exciting way to pass the time.
A series of lists works even better. A Gotta Do for the really urgent stuff. A When I Have A Few Minutes for things like treating those few pieces of real wood furniture to a badly needed coat of polish. A Do I really Have To? For defrosting the freezer, shredding old bills and papers and anything else you’d rather forget but can’t. And, finally, a list of Things For Me—things I never seem to find the time for such as exploring a downtown street that’s undergone extensive renovation, or a new store that looks pricey but might be fun to browse, visiting pet food stores and checking out who’s available for adoption—dangerous, but one of my favorites.
I did manage to Get Up And Go self-publish my 3 Amethyst Cove gay romantic mysteries—Missing, Presumed Dead, Missing, But Not Dead, and Still Missing. They are on special at $1.99 each. Check them out at: www.allromanceebooks.com
