April 6 – E is for EXCITEMENT - #atozchallenge
Along with all my other many failings, I admit to becoming easily excited—in good and bad ways.
The good kind is the warm bubbly stuff like being overjoyed when something great happens. If I get a free ticket on the lottery, or hear any kind of good news be it for myself or for a friend, I’m happy, walking on air and the world is full of sunshine and smiles.
The bad kind is the impotent fury I feel when it comes to the abuse of any living creature. Be it a child abused by family or the society in which they live, a woman being used as a human punching bag, a dog tied to a short chain and left outside regardless of the weather, or a cat or any other animal that’s mistreated in any way, especially being given over to a lab for research purposes. There’s no excuse for abuse, it achieves nothing except needless pain for the victim, and there’s only one punishment in my book—a large helping of the same treatment the abuser had no problem in handing out.
